Brief outline
Islamic studies (foundation) programme (2 years) 1 year for beginners and another 1 year for advanced level. This course is especially designed to gain knowledge and understanding of QUR’AN, HADEES, Islamic science, Islamic history, culture and civilization in English medium for those who do not wish or have the time to study the traditional Arabic courses that is offered by many Islamic institutions.

What Will I Learn?

The Islamic Studies is a unique, distance-learning programme offering a variety of topics related to Islam, Muslims, and Islamic concerns are covered in the unique online learning curriculum known as “Islamic Studies.” The goal of this curriculum is to increase students’ understanding of the major topics in Islamic Studies.

The curriculum will provide an overview of Islam’s core principles, history, the Qur’an, Hadeeth, Tawheed, Fiqh, Seerah, and general etiquette in relation to various contexts. Islamic technology, civilisation, culture and much more.

Students will also learn in-depth Tafseer of the most significant verses that are used in Muslim’s everyday life as well as Ahadith throughout the second year of this course. Given the significance of authentic Islamic knowledge, every effort has been made to ensure the authenticity of the information offered in the series. Also, given the importance of Arabic Islamic terms, most of the terms are presented in their original Arabic script, along with the transliteration and the translation of their meanings.

Candidates will gain confidence in resolving various issues in response to their personal or professional conditions by working in a diverse society by developing a foundation and exercising some critical thinking on the subject.

In addition, the aim here is to help the students to familiarise the original text and understand and its meaning (though not full traditional Arabic). Each lesson is followed by exercises covering questions about the lesson.

Understanding the Islamic science and nature of the creation of Allah s.w.t along with some light shed over the subject of evolution which secular school/college/university adopted to teach the students. By studying this course one will understand the Islamic values, ethics, moral obligations as well as the legal obligations too. Finally you will be able to achieve the great milestone which shows the way to the final abode in Jannah (heaven) and real success IN THE BOTH WORLD (In this Life and Life after Death).

Who is this for?

All people who are looking to improve their understanding in the wide range of different subjects connected to the study of Islam should take an Islamic course.

It is especially suitable for mature students (of all ages and backgrounds) who desire to further their religious study under the guidance of Islamic scholars as well as for students who have never studied Islam before at an academic level appropriate for Muslims. It is a great choice for anyone who want to broaden their perspectives within this fascinating topic area and have some background interest in Islam or connections to Muslim communities (in the UK and internationally).

The development of research methods, study techniques, and other “transferable skills” is a key element of this Islamic study curriculum.

For this Islamic study, Arabic is not necessary because it will be taught in English.

Distance learners complete their coursework at their own pace. Students are free to select a time that works for them personally (from our wide range of time table). Each student may choose to have a heavy or light “work load,” but it is advised that at least a few hours per week be allowed in order to advance with studies.

Students who have been accepted into the programme receive module bundles. Each module bundle includes a “set guide,” thorough notes and instructions, and everything needed to get started studying. Also, students can use a variety of academy materials from any location.

There are numerous opportunities for interaction and support: students can call, email, or write for guidance, and the Department has a superb and “user-friendly” support system for online courses.

Format of the Programme

There are two sections to the Islamic studies. The first part is the taught in foundation year (1st Year), and the second part is advanced level taught in 2nd year.

Three mandatory modules will be successfully completed accredited with certificate of completion of the course.

Please bear in mind that this is not an accreditation by a state or secular approved university, rather it will be recognised by the scholars of Islam and perhaps may be enhanced to pursue on further study with any Islamic institutions.

Who is the Islamic Studies for?
