An extensive study of Islamic theology and sciences is covered in the alimiyyah programme. With the support of this curriculum, students can comprehend Islam at its fundamental core and source.
The Alim/Alimah programme is an in-depth study of many Islamic sciences for both men and women. It starts with the very basics of Arabic and combines them into an academic mastery of Islam’s primary and secondary sources (the Qur’an and Sunnah).
What will I learn?
The syllabus is designed in a concise, succinct manner while still imparting all of the fundamental understanding, competencies, and spiritual growth required to comprehend and practise Islam rationally. The Islamic scholar(s) who achieve this status are known as Alims or Ulama.

The Islamic scholar(s) who achieve this status are known as Alims or Ulama. Students generally find it better to adhere to this course and schedule their studies around their commitments. This curriculum was created and built exclusively for students who speak English. Men and women who wanted to study Islamic studies but were unable to do so due to work or family obligations in sha Allah will be beneficial.
Format of the programme
This part-time programme is offered entirely online and is divided into three academic levels comprising six years of study. It is taught in both English and Arabic and is based on the Darse-Nizami traditional and modern curriculum.
Assessments
We also use a variety of assessment methods, with quizzes and assignments being the most common, while some courses may also use oral presentations or group projects as assessment methods. Throughout your time at Miftah Academy, there will be a lot of assistance available. You can also take additional classes advancing your understanding of certain subjects.

Our instructors are experts in their fields, and they generally distribute their knowledge through a combination of presentations, small-group seminars, and tutorials, where you can use an online platform to discuss important topics related to your course work. Ijazah/Acreditation
When this Alimiyyah course is completed, the authority will grant it full accreditation (Ijazah), in sha Allah. This procedure is called Ijazah, which refers to the Shaykhul Hadith giving Ijazah to teach and spread to others. This Ijazah was directly passed down from Rasulullah s.a.w. Hence, Rasulullah s.a.w. and this ummah have their deepest spiritual connection through this.
Uniqueness
Undoubtedly, this Ummah can benefit greatly from the many online Alim/Alimah (Alimiyyah) courses that are available. But, a few factors make our organisation stand out as very distinctive. Our classes are held at a specific time, seven days a week. Students must enrol in at least six hours each week.
Our class schedule rota works as:
Example: (1) If a student enrols in any one 3-hour slot on Monday but misses Tuesday or chooses to make up the time with another day of class, they may participate in any one 3-hour slot on Friday or Sunday from the three that are available. S ince the classes for each of our three groups are organised similarly, it means that the same subject is covered over the entire week by Groups 1 through 3 slots. For instance, if chapter/lesson 2 of the Arabic grammar is taught to a different group of students on Monday, it will also be taught to them on Thursday and Saturday during the same three time slots.
Similar to this, if chapter/lesson 5 of Arabic literature is taught on Tuesday, the same will be taught on Friday and Sunday for the full three slots to various pupils.
(2) As a further example of a circumstance when the opposite is true, if someone is absent or decides not to participate on Monday or Thursday, they can still attend on Tuesday and Thursday or Tuesday and Saturday as previously mentioned.
Structure of the programme

TWO YEARS FOUNDATION |
Students will learn the essential core grammar and language rules and how to apply them to texts. |
| TWO YEARS ADVANCED | Students will acquire certain fundamental concepts of Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Hadith, and Tafseer in addition to advanced Arabic literature in the third and fourth years since they will be proficient in the Arabic language and Grammar principles. |

TWO YEARS MASTERS |
These two years are highly remarkable in terms of learning since they will improve students’ ability to gain the necessary requirement to effectively comprehend the ahadith of Rasulullah (s.a.w.). In particular, the final sixth year will exclusively involve studying the six main hadith books that are considered authentic. However, as was already established, the fifth year will also entail studying some of these six canonical hadith books in addition towards other Tafseer and Fiqh topics. |

1. Hadith and Usul al Hadith – Hadith and its principles
2. Tafseer and Usul al Tafseer – Exegesis of the Holy Qur’an and its principles
3. Fiqh and Usul al Fiqh – Islamic jurisprudence and its principles
4. Seerah – Noble Character of Prophet s.a.w
5. Tarikh al Islam- History of Islam
6. Aqaaid – Islamic creed
7. Tajweed – Rules of the Qur’an recitation
